Recognised as the leading luxury yacht charter specialists, CharterWorld continues to deliver for clients with Reia at the helm.
Reia's Story
The Vision Behind CharterWorld
Reia grew up on Australia's Queensland coast with the Whitsunday Islands as her playground: a way of life which understandably led to a love and curiosity for the ocean and boats.Crewing on luxury superyachts in the Mediterranean became a launch pad for an enduring career in luxury travel. Adding a Bachelor of Business Studies to her experience enabled her and co-founder Matt Somerville-Smith to create the world's first online yacht charter platform . . . CharterWorld was born. Reia now leads a team of global charter brokers, manages a fleet of yachts as the Central Agent and continues to guide CharterWorld's commitment to excellence.Her passion for travel has seen her explore more of the world than most could imagine, and she is now happily settled in Christchurch, New Zealand with her family. But that doesn't mean adventure is off-the-table: they recently spent a well earned sabbatical sailing around French Polynesia.
